The purpose of my business, apart from fulfilling my own DREAM, is to help others in various ways. Firstly, I aim to debunk the stereotype that HR is merely a department responsible for firing employees. I firmly believe that HR plays a crucial role in nurturing and maximising the potential of human capital, which is arguably the most valuable asset any organisation possesses. By supporting SMEs and providing guidance and expertise in the field of HR, I hope to demonstrate to CEOs that investing in HR initiatives will not only benefit their employees but also enhance the overall performance and success of the company.
Another significant aspect of my mission is to foster a culture of continuous improvement and change within organisations. I firmly believe that positive change cannot occur solely from the top down; it requires support from all levels of the business. Lastly, I want to encourage graduates to consider stepping into the HR world, where they can gain valuable learning experiences and make a positive impact. HR Stars was created to revive long forgotten values for professionals in the people profession. The idea for HR Stars was born out of frustration, disappointment, and disbelief over unethical HR practices and unreasonably bad behaviour on the part of recruiters. Even though I had impressive credentials, years of experience, and a professionally written CV, I could not find a job. I was ghosted... Or I applied for the ghost job... There is nothing supernatural about these terms; instead, they refer to unscrupulous recruitment practices that waste job seekers' time.
This experience, encouraged me to do my research and find out what is really going on. It even inspired me to write an article! You can read it here.
